Constructed of simple woods and natural cotton webbing, Jens Risom’s 1941 lounge chair for Knoll is a design classic, inspiring knock-offs by manufacturers such as Ikea.
Beginning Friday, those in the market for a designer original can get 15% off the Knoll Space collection. That Risom chair, regularly about $805, drops to $684.25.
More than 100 midcentury designs will be on sale, including furniture by Harry Bertoia, Isamu Noguchi, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Eero Saarinen. The sale runs through Oct. 3. You can check for Knoll retailers, but here’s one tip: YLiving is offering free white glove delivery and no sales tax.
