PRIME CHOICES
SUNDAY
The Saints, led by quarterback Drew Brees, make their first ever appearance on pro football’s biggest stage at “Super Bowl XLIV” in Miami. Standing in opposition: 2007 champs Peyton Manning and the Colts. And rocking the halftime show: the Who. (CBS, 3:25 p.m.)
MONDAY
It will take the combined efforts of all the “Heroes” to thwart the dastardly Samuel (Robert Knepper) and save thousands of lives in the action-drama’s season finale. Then maybe they can try saving the show itself from persistent rumors of its imminent demise. (NBC, 9 p.m.)
TUESDAY
Who were you in a “Past Life”? A psychologist (Kelli Giddish) teams with a former NYPD detective (Nicholas Bishop) to help troubled clients resolve personal issues from previous incarnations in this new drama previewing Tuesday and premiering Thursday. (Fox, 9 p.m.)
WEDNESDAY
Stirring the melting pot: In the four-part series “Faces of America With Henry Louis Gates Jr.,” the Harvard professor enlists celebrities including Stephen Colbert, Meryl Streep and Kristi Yamaguchi in explorations of their individual family histories. (KCET, 8 p.m.)
THURSDAY
They’re baaack: Bad girl Jerri Manthey and rough customer Russell Hantz are just two of the 20 returning players attempting to outwit, outplay and outlast one another in a remote part of Samoa on the season premiere of “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.” (CBS, 8 p.m.)
FRIDAY
Speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno, snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis and ski racer Lindsey Vonn join the rest of Team USA in the quest for medals of gold, silver and bronze as the “XXI Winter Olympics” get underway in Vancouver, B.C. (NBC, 7:30 p.m.)
SATURDAY
It’s the classic cute-meet: Trapped in an elevator, an uptight man and a free-spirited woman form an unexpected bond during their shared ordeal, as demonstrated in the new made-for-cable romantic fable “Elevator Girl” starring Lacey Chabert and Ryan Merriman. (Hallmark, 9 p.m.)
SUIT UP
Clothes may make the man, but what of the men who make the clothes? In the new three-part series “Savile Row,” you’ll meet some of the tailors and merchants who ply their trade in London’s illustrious menswear district. (Sundance, 8 p.m. Mon. through Wed.)
DEVASTATING
“Haiti’s Killer Quake: Why It Happened” looks at the geology behind the 7.0 seismic shocker that brought unimaginable death, destruction and heartache to the already impoverished island nation just one month ago. (Discovery, 9 p.m. Thu.)
COLLAPSE
It’s the end of the world as they know it, and they feel ... not so good, actually. Zoe Tapper, Bryony Afferson and Freema Agyman are among the “Survivors” of a deadly plague that brings civilization to its knees in this imported drama. (BBC America, 5, 8 and 11 p.m. Sat.)
