Boys’ basketball: Windward wins regional final

Los Angeles Windward has advanced to the state final in Division IV, upsetting top-seeded Westlake Village Oaks Christian 58-52 in the Southern California Regional championship game at Colony High in Ontario.
Nick Stover had 16 points and Jordan Wilson added 13 for the second-seeded Wildcats (26-8), who led from start to finish. Wesley Saunders had eight points, nine rebounds and six steals and Luke Silverman-Lloyd added nine points for Windward, which will play Richmond Salesian in the state final Saturday in Sacramento.
Chass Bryan had 13 points, Taylor Hange had 12 and Blair Holliday added 11 for top-seeded Oaks Christian (26-8), which pulled to within 42-41 on Holliday’s three-pointer with 5:49 remaining.
