Baseball: Cleveland hands ECR its first league defeat

Jack Hartman threw a complete game and Max Spiegel had three hits to help Reseda Cleveland defeat Woodland Hills El Camino Real, 5-3. It was El Camino Real’s first loss in West Valley League play.
Chatsworth took over first place in league with a 14-1 win over Granada Hills. Raul Camas and Brady Conlan had three hits each. Steve Karkenny hit a home run. Aaron Brown struck out eight.
Chatsworth begins action in the National Classic next week in Orange County. Taft defeated Birmingham, 7-4, in eight innings. Art Chavez had a three-run double.
