Baseball: Mock draft has Geritt Cole at No. 1

In a May 13 mock draft by Baseball America, former Orange Lutheran pitcher Geritt Cole of UCLA is projected to be taken No. 1 by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Among other projections: Ex-Hart pitcher Trevor Bauer of UCLA to the Indians at No. 8; JSerra catcher Austin Hedges to the Red Sox at No. 26 and Huntington Beach Edison pitcher Henry Owens to the Braves at No. 28.

The amateur draft is June 6-8.
