Baseball: Rio Ruiz signs with Houston Astros

Rio Ruiz of La Puente Bishop Amat is officially a member of the Houston Astros organization. He signed his contract on Monday, receiving a bonus of $1.85 million. He was a fourth-round pick of the Astros.

He took batting practice on Monday in Houston and hit two balls out of the ballpark, according to his father, Rudy.
