Sherman Oaks Notre Dame drove to the Gardena Serra four-yard line on its opening drive but had to settle for a 21-yard field goal by Lucas Alfonso to take a 3-0 lead over the Cavaliers.

Venice has opened a 13-0 lead over Chaminade. Crespi leads Taft, 6-0.
