Boys’ basketball: Santa Monica pulls out overtime win

With first place in the Ocean League on the line, Santa Monica pulled out a 72-68 overtime victory over Inglewood. Jordan Mathews scored 28 points.
In the Mission League, Crespi stayed in first place with a 66-62 win over St. Francis. London Perrantes scored 19 points and Max Heidegger 14. Chaminade defeated Harvard-Westlake, 74-63. Jack Williams had 31 points and 20 rebounds. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame picked up its first league win with a 57-47 win over Alemany. Ryan Ducar led the Knights with 16 points.
In the Alpha League, Sierra Canyon defeated Campbell Hall, 71-60. Devearl Ramsey scored 28 points. Aaron Holiday had 23 for Campbell Hall. Windward defeated Paraclete, 65-52.
In the Moore League, Long Beach Poly defeated Compton, 64-44. Roschon Prince scored 19 points.
Providence defeated Foothill Christian, 63-51. Marcus LoVett Jr. had 25 points.
In the Western League, Palisades moved into second place after a 77-52 win over Fairfax. Ammar Rehman scored 29 points and Dakota Chambers had 14.
In the Coliseum League, Andre Edwards scored 24 points and had 14 rebounds in Crenshaw’s 83-55 win over Fremont.
In the East Valley League, Grant defeated Verdugo Hills, 66-43. Tullio Parry made eight three-pointers and finished with 36 points. Grant (17-6, 8-0) has won 37 straight league games.
