Orange Coast Plays Host to Mt. San Antonio

Orange Coast College will try to rebound from Monday’s upset loss to Compton when the Pirates play host to Mt. San Antonio in an important South Coast Conference basketball game at 7:30 tonight in Peterson Gym.
Orange Coast (4-2 in conference, 13-7 overall) was defeated by Compton, 77-67, in the first of its three conference games this week. The third-place Pirates must upset either second-place Mt. San Antonio (4-1, 17-2) or first-place Cerritos (6-0, 15-3) Saturday if they are to remain in contention for the SCC championship.
Mt. San Antonio was beaten by Cerritos, 55-51, in a game for the lead in the SCC Monday.
In other South Coast Conference games tonight, Santa Ana (1-4, 9-9), a loser of four straight, travels to Fullerton (3-2, 9-9), Cypress (3-2, 9-7), a winner of three straight, plays host to Compton (2-3, 7-9) and Golden West (0-6, 7-12) will try to break a seven-game losing streak when it plays at Saddleback (1-4, 11-8).
