Two people were killed and a third was critically injured in a head-on collision on Laguna Canyon Road, a narrow, winding thoroughfare that has claimed at least 30 lives since 1975. Joann Covey, 23, of Laguna Niguel, and her passenger, Mark Corsetti, 27, of South Laguna, were killed when Covey crossed her car into oncoming traffic and struck a car head on, police spokesperson Carol Fleischer said.
