Soccer Stadium Fire Death Toll Rises to 54

WAKEFIELD, England — The toll in the fire that engulfed a soccer stadium grandstand in Bradford last month has risen to 54 with the death of a woman who had been severely burned.
Muriel Firth, 57, died Tuesday at Wakefield Hospital, near Bradford, a hospital statement said.
Thirty-eight people injured in the May 11 fire remain in hospitals. Two are listed in critical condition and three in serious condition.
