Cable TV Swap: Times Mirror Cable Television has taken over systems formerly operated by Storer Cable Television Inc. in much of south Orange County --including Laguna Beach, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel and parts of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano--in what amounts to a nationwide swap of territory. In return for its south Orange County franchises, Storer will take over Times-Mirror franchises in New Jersey and Kentucky, and will receive an undisclosed amount of cash. Times Mirror Cable, based in Irvine, will pick up about 30,000 new subscribers, for a total of about 70,000 customers in Orange County, spokesman Pat Lopker said. Times Mirror Cable is a subsidiary of Times Mirror Co., which publishes the Los Angeles Times.
