‘Static From Radio Marti’

The radio station the Reagan Administration has recently begun using to broadcast anti-government propaganda to Cuba is named after Cuba’s most famous and beloved poet and patriot, Jose Marti.
There is an irony here.
It was Jose Marti who wrote, “I have lived in the monster (the United States) and I know its insides, and my sling is the sling of David.”
