Sure, Bob McAdoo has a hefty salary that must be paid, but where are the Lakers going to get a comparable replacement? The acquisition of McAdoo was a steal for the Lakers and could pay rich dividends for several more years. McAdoo came to the Lakers with the reputation of being a malingerer and a malcontent. All he has done with the Lakers is provide instant scoring and fine defense.
Please, Bill Sharman and Jerry West, keep beloved Bob in L.A.
