I wish to compliment reporters Nancy Rivera and Debra Whitefield for their coverage of the Unocal/Mesa takeover battle.
I am also going to write to Congress and urge it to pass a law to prevent the kinds of raids we have seen in the last few years. In fact, I am sending a copy of “In ‘20s, It Was Investor Pools; Now, Takeovers” (John F. Lawrence, May 12) to stress the urgency of the situation.
