Carolyn B. Rodriguez has been elected the first president of the Assn. of Hispanic Faculty and Staff of Cal State San Bernardino.
The group also includes students, and Rodriguez is a student personnel technician in the financial aids office.
The association plans to establish scholarships to encourage Hispanics to enter higher education.
