The second phase of the $7.5-million, 11-building Orangewood Home for Dependent Children has been completed at 401 City Drive, Orange.
In September--upon completion of the third and final phase--Orangewood will replace the adjacent county-operated Albert Sitton Home and will be turned over to Orange County. The home was built by a group of major developers led by William Lyon.
The Elliott Group, Stanton, is the architect and general contractor of Orangewood. The 170-bed facility is designed in a Spanish hacienda style in a campus-like configuration.
