Leading Recruit Admitted to SDSU

SAN DIEGO — Much to the relief of Earnest Riggins, San Diego State women’s basketball coach, his leading recruit, Jessica Haynes, was admitted to the university Thursday.

“We were waiting on that final transcript,” Riggins said Friday.

Haynes, a 6-footer from Omaha Central High in Omaha, Neb., was a Parade Magazine High School selection. She averaged 24.7 points and 12.3 rebounds for her undefeated state championship team.
