Can I trust Steve Jaffee and the advanced technology of air-brushing (Calendar Letters, Aug. 11)? Is Mr. Petty really mutton-chopless? I trust you, Mrs. Petty.

As a matter of fact, I’ve had the $100 cash for days . . . it seems, however, Petty’s publicist shies away from publicity and phone messages.

But, as any fan should know, money talks (are you listening, Mr. Jaffee?). I gladly donate to both worthy causes (shave and share).
