STILL BLOND AFTER ALL THESE YEARS: Mamie Van Doren, one of the buxom bombshells of the ‘50s, is making a pop comeback this fall. Rhino Records will release a 12-inch single with a pair of new songs, “Queen of Pleasure” and “Young Dudes,” as well as a collection of Van Doren tunes from such long-forgotten teen flicks as “Untamed Youth” and “The Beat Generation.” The sound-track compilation is cheekily titled “The Girl Who Invented Rock ‘n’ Roll,” which isn’t just hyperbole--it’s the title of a song she sang in a 1958 Doris Day film called “Teacher’s Pet.”
