Finalists in IDM Sculpture Contest to Be Announced

LONG BEACH — The IDM Corp. and the Public Corp. for the Arts will announce the three finalists in the IDM “100 Broadway Office Building” sculpture competition at a public reception and exhibition at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 132 Linden Ave.
Works from the competition will continue on display from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until Sept. 14.
More than 64 proposals were submitted by Southern California sculptors for the project. Each finalist will receive $500 to produce a more detailed proposal and IDM will choose the commissioned sculptor in late September. Up to $60,000 will be awarded to complete the project.
