RINGWOOD, England — Police here Saturday warned people to beware of minks freed by animal crusaders in a raid on a farm where they were being raised for their pelts.
The radical Animal Liberation Front, which has released laboratory and breeding animals in the past, claimed responsibility for freeing about 1,000 animals worth $14,000 in an overnight raid.
Hundreds of the minks were recaptured by farm workers in this area about 50 miles south of London, and police fanned out across the countryside.
