One hundred firefighters battled a stubborn 100-acre brush fire on Otay Mesa Sunday evening, with no estimate of when they might bring it under control, fire officials said.
The fire broke out at about 4:25 p.m. about six miles east of Brown Field, said a spokeswoman for the California Department of Forestry. At 9 p.m., she said there was no estimate of when the fire might be contained.
