A 21-year-old San Diego resident was fatally injured Saturday when she was struck by a car and dragged more than 100 feet.
Marla Lee McCarthy was walking in the 4600 block of East Mission Bay Drive about 3 a.m. when the accident occurred. She died a few hours later at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
The Los Angeles man who was driving the car was not cited, but police said they would investigate the accident further.
