ALGIERS, Algeria — Polisario guerrillas fighting Morocco for independence of the Western Sahara killed eight Moroccan soldiers and wounded 18 when the Moroccans’ defenses were shelled for several hours between Aug. 21 and 23, the official Algerian news agency APS reported Saturday.
