Donation for Fountain: Construction of a plaza at Pearson Park Outdoor Theater won’t begin until the fall, but already the area has received a $5,000 donation for a fountain. City officials accepted the gift from the Anaheim Arts Council’s Art in Public Places Committee. “The Pearson Park Theater is one of Anaheim’s centers for cultural appreciation, as we feature more than 40 programs each year in the outdoor amphitheater,” city official Chris Jarvi said. With the addition of the plaza “and increased public awareness of availability of the theater, we will be well on our way to becoming a major cultural center in the Orange County area,” he said.
