Cross-Country Roundup : Irvine Men 4th, Women 6th in San Diego

The UC Irvine men’s cross-country team finished fourth Saturday at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego. UCI placed two runners in the top 30 and scored 154 points to finish behind Arizona (39), UCLA (127) and Northern Arizona (144) in the 10,000-meter race.
In the women’s competition, UCI finished sixth behind Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas El Paso and Colorado State.
In a non-scoring meet with Cal State Fullerton, Chapman College runner Ray Campbell set a course record at Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange by covering the 5-mile course in 27:29.
