Iraq Reports Another Raid on Kharg Island

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraqi warplanes again attacked Iran’s Kharg Island oil terminal in the Persian Gulf on Tuesday, a Baghdad military spokesman said.
The raid “added new fires” to facilities damaged in some of the 17 previous raids on Kharg since mid-August, the spokesman said.
According to gulf shipping sources, the attacks on Kharg have badly hampered Iran’s capacity to keep up oil exports needed to finance its war effort.
