McGee Is Top Scorer In Laker Squad Game

Magic Johnson scored 32 points to lead the Golds to a 117-104 victory over the Blues in the Lakers’ intrasquad scrimmage Wednesday night at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
Mike McGee scored 33 points for the Blues, and No. 1 draft choice A.C. Green had 20 points and nine rebounds while splitting time between the two units. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Golds.
The Lakers open their exhibition schedule Friday night against the Phoenix Suns at Tucson.
