North Florida Braces for Isabel

MIAMI — Tropical Storm Isabel, after claiming as many as 500 victims in Puerto Rico, churned toward north Florida with 65-m.p.h. winds today and forecasters said it could become the sixth Atlantic storm to hit the U.S. coast in the last three months.
Forecaster Jim Lushine said if Isabel continued on its current track at the same speed, it would reach the coast of Florida Thursday afternoon or evening.
