U.S. Ship Visit Protested

GOTEBERG, Sweden — Demonstrators burned an American flag Tuesday to protest a visit by two U.S. warships they said might be carrying nuclear weapons.
A small group of peace activists, carrying banners saying “Friendship Not Warship,” read a declaration of protest as the cruiser Ticonderoga and destroyer Halyburton docked in this port city in western Sweden.
