Nad Dash in Italy

I sat eatin my lunch, reading the Sept. 22 story of Katharine and John Dreyfuss’s adventure in Italy, and laughing. This is a good (not great) story for the Reader’s Digest, not for the Travel Section. It sounda like four grown-up people did not plan or research a trip, but trying to put the cause on the Italians, unless I missed the point. Anybody who plans an looks ahead will not have the problems these people had. Even the buying of Furniture: I am glad they (the Italian firm) protect the U.S. distributor. I hope other travelers don’t think all travels are this bad. What was the point of the story?
FRED M. GINDY Tarzana The story recounted a comedy of errors to show that planning would have made their day.
