The Bass family acquired more AMI shares.

A group led by members of the Bass family of Fort Worth raised its stake in Beverly Hills-based American Medical International to 10.2% from 8.7% by purchasing 1.4 million of the shares outstanding between Oct. 11 and Oct. 31, according to an SEC filing. The group gave no reason for its action but said in its original filing Oct. 15 that it holds the AMI shares “as an investment.”
