MEXICO CITY — Home clothing factories and other small industries will receive easy credit to help restore jobs lost as a result of the Sept. 19-20 earthquakes, the government newspaper El Nacional said Monday.
The program, approved by the National Reconstruction Committee, will provide working capital, funds for two months of salaries, credit for purchases of new equipment and postponement of payments due on previous loans.
An additional program will assist seamstresses who worked in garment factories destroyed by the earthquakes and who have established cooperatives since the earthquake.
