NHL Roundup : Hunter’s Two Goals Spark St. Louis to 5-3 Victory Over Quebec

Mark Hunter scored two goals to rally St. Louis to a 5-3 victory over Quebec in a National Hockey League game Thursday night at St. Louis. The Blues staged a five-goal comeback against reserve Nordique goalie Mario Gosselin.
Doug Gilmour broke a 3-3 tie at 4:17 of the final period by sliding a rebound under Gosselin’s pad for the game-winner.
Hunter’s ninth goal of the season and second of the game had drawn the Blues into the tie 89 seconds earlier.
Ric Nattress scored the final goal at 15:42 when he blasted a shot from the blueline between Gosselin’s legs.
Quebec starting goalie Richard Sevigny suffered a possible fracture of his left hand when he dove for the puck during a St. Louis power play in the second period with Quebec leading, 2-0.
Toronto 6, Boston 6--Rick Vaive scored three goals in the third period to lift the Maple Leafs into a tie at Toronto.
Vaive, the Maple Leaf captain, scored his 9th, 10th and 11th goals of the season within a span of 12:49, completing the hat trick at 13:03 that forced the game into overtime.
Toronto outshot Boston, 2-0, in the extra period but could not score on Bruin goaltender Doug Keans.
The Bruins had taken a 6-5 lead 50 seconds before Vaive’s final goal when Steve Kasper beat Toronto goaltender Tim Bernhardt.
