Somebody please tell Zak to lighten up.
I didn’t see the “Tonight Show” in question, but as Zak describes it Johnny seemed to be poking more fun at hapless rescue attempts than at the obviously intelligent whale. The fun should now be poked at Zak for thinking he “. . . could have been out helping the efforts to set the animal free.” That’s all the poor beast needed--another tourist in still another boat banging two lead pipes together while yelling “Shooo!”
How incredibly self-congratulatory it is for Zak and other so-called “rescuers,” many of whom no doubt believe whales are fish, to think they possess the power and the knowledge to tell a whale how to find the sea.
