Stanton police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in his car Friday as possibly a drug-related slaying.
Although there were no signs of foul play, according to a press release written by Sgt. Steven Kelch, the death of the 28-year-old Inglewood man “is being treated as a homicide and possibly drug-related” because of “the suspicious nature” of the fatality. The victim’s name was not released pending notification of his kin.
Stanton police found the dead man after being called to the 10,800 block of Rose Street about 1 p.m. to check a report of a person apparently passed out in a vehicle.
A cause of death has not been determined.
