The business empire built up by fashion designer Laura Ashley will be floated on the London stock market at a price of nearly $378 million, the company reported. The sale of a 23.3% stake in the company at $1.89 a share has been overshadowed by the death of Ashley, who never emerged from a coma after tumbling down stairs at her daughter’s home in September. The applications list for some 46.5 million shares in the furnishings and textiles group will open on November 28. Trading is due to start on December 5.
