Fraud Sentence Given: An Anaheim businessman who pleaded guilty to mail fraud charges in connection with a real estate fraud was sentenced in Los Angeles federal court to four years’ probation and ordered to perform 250 hours of community service. U.S. District Judge Richard A. Gadbois Jr. also ordered Harry Stone to pay $453 to two investors and fined the 50-year-old businessman $1,000. According to Assistant U.S. Atty. Sharon McCaslin, Stone was the “land expert” for the Questar Companies, a group of Orange County companies charged with selling undeveloped land at inflated prices. Stone’s partners, Sidney Binder and Daniel Leffler, are scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 6.
