Long Beach Women Beat Arizona State

Center Cindy Brown scored 27 points and had 14 rebounds to lead the Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team to a 93-88 victory over Arizona State in its season opener Monday night at Tempe, Ariz.
Guard Faye Paige and forward Missy Rand added 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Long Beach, which had five players score in double figures.
