Security Pacific won a large Pentagon contract.

The Los Angeles-based bank and its Security Pacific Bankcard USA unit successfully bid for the right to process all credit card transactions at 791 Army and Air Force post exchanges in the United States and 35 Navy PXs in California, Washington and Alaska. The bank would not say how much it bid for the contract or how much it will charge for the electronic processing services. It estimated credit card sales volume at the post exchanges at more than $410 million annually.
