Lab Technician Shoots Ex-Fiancee, Kills Self

LIVINGSTON, N.J. — A hospital lab technician upset because a ward clerk broke off their engagement shot and wounded her and killed himself Tuesday at a nursing station, authorities said. No one else was injured.
Christine Williams, 21, was in serious condition in the intensive care unit of St. Barnabas Hospital but was expected to live, hospital spokeswoman Betty Krieger said. George Jordan, 26, was dead at the scene.
