BAYONNE, France — Five people were wounded when three gunmen attacked a bar frequented by Spanish Basque exiles, police said Sunday.
Witnesses said the men escaped after spraying the Batxoki bar with automatic weapons fire Saturday night. Responsibility for similar attacks in the past has been claimed by a clandestine right-wing organization.
