Students Escape Charges in Protest of Apartheid

HANOVER, N.H. — Criminal trespass charges against 18 Dartmouth College students arrested in a Feb. 11 apartheid protest will be withdrawn. The 18 were to be arraigned Tuesday in District Court, but their cases will be transferred to a college disciplinary panel, college President David McLaughlin said.
