More than a dozen Utah Jazz road uniforms were stolen from a van parked near the Utah state Capitol building Sunday night, hours before the team left on a four-game trip, team officials said.
Bill Kreifeldt, team spokesman, said that the Jazz had an extra set of uniforms and officials were expected to have them in the players’ hands before they faced Sacramento tonight.
He said that the uniforms, a video recorder, team medical supplies and other items were taken from team trainer Terry Clark’s van.
Dave Checketts, team president, said that the equipment was worth about $5,000 and the team has offered a $500 reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen goods.
