The St. Louis Steamers scored four straight goals in the third period to break a 5-5 tie and rolled over the Lazers, 9-6, Tuesday night at the Forum. The Steamers broke a three-game losing streak with the win.
Lazer Coach Peter Wall said after the defeat: “All of our players still have to play for their jobs next season. . . . I expect and demand intensity.” Added Lazer president Jim Buss: “Only 8 to 10 of the Lazers players will be on the team next year.”
The Lazers (11-25) travel to Wichita to play the Wings on Friday.
