Softball Roundup : Chapman Beats Redlands Twice

Tracey Case hit a grand slam in the first inning to power Chapman College to the first of two shutout victories over Redlands in a non-conference doubleheader at Hart Park Tuesday.
Case’s hit helped give the Panthers a 6-0 win in the first game. Chapman won the second game, 10-0.
Casey Tacason hit a solo home run in the first game to help pitcher Pam Bell (1-0) win.
In the second game, Diane Blankenship (4-2) threw a one-hitter. Sally Meyer had a solo home run to pace Chapman (11-4).
Chapman meets Cal Poly SLO in a doubleheader at Hart Park Friday.
In other action:
Golden West 1, Riverside 0 (11 innings)--Regina Marchionni hit a sacrifice fly to knock in the winning run in the top of the 11th inning at Riverside. The Rustlers’ Stephanie Rowlett pitched a perfect game through eight innings before giving up a hit. Golden West (10-0) plays host to Long Beach City College today.
