Kuwait Sentences Four Lebanese for Plotting Sabotage

The Kuwaiti State Security Court on Sunday sentenced four Lebanese--three in their absence--to maximum 15-year jail terms for plotting sabotage, the Kuwaiti news agency Kuna reported.

The only one present during the closed-door trial, Abdelaziz Ali Karim, 37, will be deported after serving his sentence, the agency said.

The others, Hassan Nassarallah Karim, Jallal Kamal Reza and Ahmed Youssef Mzane, are still at large.

A fifth man in court, Abdullah Ali Karim, 26, was acquitted of the same charges, including making and owning explosives with the intention of blowing up a power and water desalination plant.
