A plumbing company has been fined $640 in connection with a natural gas explosion at the Milwaukee Brewers’ training stadium in Chandler, Ariz., that injured eight Brewers and a plumber.
The Arizona state Industrial Commission fined Comfort Plumbing, Inc., for allowing an employee to service natural gas space heaters without proper training.
The worker, Jeff Sutton, 22, and Brewer coaches and players were injured when the explosion ripped through the clubhouse at Compadre Stadium Feb. 27.
