Australia Lifts Ban on Export of Koalas

CANBERRA, Australia — The government today lifted a ban on the export of koalas imposed last year after two female koalas died in Japanese zoos.
Environment Minister Barry Cohen said he accepted the recommendation of a committee that examined autopsy reports and other information provided by the Japanese zoos.
